Description
Teach spelling rules explicitly and sequentially with these creative flash cards. This small set of 21 spelling rule cards measures 3.5 x 5.5 inches and are full color. Each rule card has a unique image and rule name on the front while the image and description of the spelling rule is on the back. The rule names, images, and hidden picture clues were strategically created to support memory and active student engagement.
One card set should be purchased for each student. After the student masters a spelling rule, they earn the corresponding rule card until they’ve collected all 21 cards. Students enjoy watching their collection of cards grow. Students use the cards as a resource to aid spelling, play games, and complete word sorts.
Cards can be used independent of the instructor’s manual. The rules begin with simple closed syllable rules (one syllable) and move up to multi-syllable rules that include open and closed syllables with schwa spelling rules.
These cards are appropriate for multiple grade levels. There are endless possibilities for their use in the classroom, private practice, or home school.
